Mill chimney being dismantled
The mill chimney belonging to M Wright and Sons was removed in 1997. It stood close to where the Weavers Close development is. Some of the stonework and bricks were used to create brick planters at Quorn Cross and also sculptures around the village.
The first picture was taken by Jack Field when the scaffolding had gone up and the second by Eric Blackadder as the chimney was being dismantled. Both were local Quorn residents.
