Quorndon - An extraordinary trout!

QUORNDON - TROUT EXTRAORDINARY
A few days ago, Mr. William Lewin, who is noted as at expert fisher, had the pleasure of taking a salmon trout out of the brook which runs through the village, not far from his own house. The trout was about a yard in length, and weighed eleven pounds.
Note: William Lewin was a framework knitter and lived with his wife and family in one of the small cottages next to the Royal Oak pub on Meeting Street. The brook referred to was Buddon Brook.
