Rawlins Grammar School, Old Quornians Association, Annual Dinner 1945
For many years Rawlins Grammar School had an association for old pupils. They would meet from time to time and had an annual dinner. This Annual Dinner Programme from November 1945 used to belong Avril June Linsell who was a Rawlins pupil, we believe from approximately 1939 to 1944.
Page 2, the menu, was written in French and roughly translates:
Menu
Soup I do not know what
Pot luck sausage pate
Or
Sea fish pate of yesteryear
Potatoes as always
Garden vegetables without caterpillars
Fine combination cream(???)
Coffee with sugar and milk
Drinks
Beer without hops or alcohol
Normal water
Syrup with tadpoles
Lemonade Entente Cordiale
