A Quorn football team, 1912
This photograph of a football team in Quorn was supplied by Pete Johnson, whose step-grandfather, George Holmes appears on the back row, second from the right.
George was born in Quorn in 1896 and was part of a well known Quorn family, many of whom were blacksmiths. It was originally thought that this picture/postcard was taken after WW1, but another copy has been found which was posted in November 1912.
