Big catch in Quorn Brook - 1958

Eleven years old Michael Taylor of 31 Barrow-road, Quorn, was the envy of all his friends recently. The reason was a 4lb perch, caught by Michael in the brook on the village green.
Michael, who attends St Bartholomew's School, Quorn, usually goes with his friends fishing for tiddlers, but with a child's ordinary fishing net, he caught what many professional anglers would like to catch in a river.
