Quorn yeoman wounded 1902
This snippet from the Loughborough Herald dated 23rd January 1902 reads: "A Quorn Yeoman wounded. Information was received at Quorn on Wednesday evening that Cyril Backhouse, the eldest son of Mr and Mrs Backhouse of Quorn, had been dangerously wounded in South Africa. Backhouse went with the last detachment of Yeomanry."
