Corporal George Pash, whose home is in Quorn, is a wireless operator, and from the picture he seems to be located, as Kipling might say, "Somewhere East of Suez".
He come of a roving family, of whom he is the fourth to go where he has gone. His mother was born at Singapore, and an uncle at Hong Kong. His grandfather was a sergeant in the 2nd Northants and saw service in India, where he had won a scholarship. As a boy George sang in the Parish Church choir at Quorn, and afterwards worked in the drawing office at Messrs Herbert Morris Ltd, Loughborough
