Quorn Man missing - 1941

Quorn man presumed killed

Official news has been received from the Admiralty by Mr and Mrs Warner, of 23 Beacon Avenue, Quorn, that their son, Francis John Warner (Jack) is now presumed to have been killed in action on HMS Glorious. He was an ordnance artificer, and was 30 years of age.

Before joining the Navy he was greatly interested in Quorn Men’s Institute, and had many friends in the district. He leaves a wife and one child
