Wrights Social and Dance at Quorn 1939

Loughborough Echo - 10th February 1939

Messrs M Wright and Sons' staff social and dance took place on Friday, in the Church Room, Quorn, where there was a good attendance. The evening began with a short whist drive with Mr T W Shenton as MC., when the prizes, presented by Mrs H Walker, were won as follows: Ladies: Miss M Kettle, 86; Mrs H Mee, 85; Mrs T Preston, 85. Gentlemen: Mr G Holmes, 87; Mr John Gamble, 87; Mr S Mee, 84.

After refreshments, games, competitions and dancing followed, spot and other prizes were won by Mr Lovell and Mrs G Holmes, Miss Flanders and Miss Toone, Miss Taylor and Mr Cornelius, Mr Browne Mr Harold Mee was MC., and the Carlton New Players provided the music
