Quorn Baptist Church – Interior, post 1930

The wooden pews that appear in this picture, and that many people remember, were installed in the Baptist Church on Meeting Street in 1930, so the photograph must have been taken after this date. However this only narrows the date range to a period of probably 50 years. If anyone has any ideas about a more accurate date for the photograph, please get in touch with the museum team.

Pictures of the inside of the Church are rare, and although it didn’t change for many years, in 2010 the pews were replaced with moveable seating.

Artefact 807 shows the inside of the Church, before the 1930 reconfiguration.
