Funeral of Mrs Eliza Hallam - March 1934

The funeral of Mrs Eliza Ann Hallam who died on Friday, aged 60 years, took place on Tuesday, when Canon Rumsey officiated at the house and at the graveside. The principal mourners were: Mr Sam Hallam and Miss A Hallam (husband and daughter), Mr W Hallam and Mrs S Hammond (son and sister), Mr J H Oram and Mrs F West (brother and sister,) Mr Bowers and Mrs Machin (brother-in-law and sister-in-law), Mr and Mrs G Evans (brother-in-law and sister), Mr C Bowers and Mrs H Basford (nephew and niece), Miss M Bentley and Mrs A Bentley.
Wreaths were sent from the Quorn Cricket Club, the Quorn Mills Bowling Club, the Quorn Allotment Society, the girls in Mr Hallam's shop, the Co-operative Committee, and the neighbours. The bearers were Messrs G Hyman, F Blackshaw, C Walker, and F Brown.
