Quorn Wedding - Chambers-Stubley 1934

Loughborough Echo - 6th July 1934

The wedding took place at the Parish Church, Quorn, on Saturday, of Miss Eva Stubley, only daughter of Mr Scott Stubley, and Mrs Stubley, of "Gretna Green," Leicester-road, Quorn, and late of Loughborough, and Mr Horace Chambers, younger son of Mr George Chambers, and the late Mrs Chambers, of the Railway Inn, Barrow.

The bridesmaid was Miss Joyce Faulks, of Loughborough. The bride was given away by her father. She was dressed in white satin with wreath and veil, and wore an old crystal necklet, the gift of the bride's mother. She carried a bouquet of pink carnations and white heather. Her bridesmaid was attired in lilac silk crepe with a beige hat, and she carried a bouquet of mauve and pink sweet peas.

The ceremony was performed by Canon H H Rumsey. The best man was Mr George Chambers, brother of the bridegroom.

A reception was held at "Gretna Green". The honeymoon is being spent in the south of England.
