Freehold Street - then and now

These photographs were taken looking down Freehold Street towards Victoria Street. The older photograph was taken in 1945, when the street was preparing for VE day celebrations.

The most notable change, as with many of the comparisons, is the presence of vehicles and their impact on the street scene. It is also interesting that all of the houses on the left have been rendered. This seems to have happened to many of the properties in Quorn.
